Retrofitting this family run Vietnamese restaurant involved creating a chic and relaxed atmosphere while working with existing furniture and fittings, and minimal construction.

A carefully considered colour and material palette – fleshed out with the use of wall textures and blonde timber benches and shelving – counterbalances the dark and heavy counter, tables and chairs, resulting in a fresh and light ambience.

Strip uplighting behind the long banquet visually expands the boundary which, combined with an overhead row of pendant lights, helps lead the eye deep into the space.

The play of gently contrasting tones, lighting and texture on facing walls of the restaurant result in a conducive environment for enjoyable dining.
