Job Scope for Interior Designer  

We are experiencing rapid growth and looking for an ambitious and design-process trained interior designer to join our young dynamic team.
 
Liid is a homegrown boutique interior design outfit which has firmly established itself as one of the go-to firms for challenging projects which require constructed intervention to improve spatial flow and elevate good ambience.  Founded in early 2012 and helmed by an experienced interior designer with years of overseas and local experience, our firm is particularly known for our strong penchant for detail and visual language.  Working with a small dedicated team of highly skilled professionals, we have chalked up an impressive portfolio that spans from bespoke residential fit-outs to well-coordinated commercial outlets.  Through the many projects we have done, we have forged strong relationships and rapport among the members of our team.  While we are fun-loving, we also take pride in the quality of our work.  After all, there are few things as rewarding as the acknowledgement of a job well done and praises from satisfied clients.

Requirements:

  1. Design Assistance:
    1. Help develop design concepts based on client requirements and brand guidelines.
    2. Assist in preparing mood boards, sample boards, and material palettes.
    3. Support in space planning, furniture layout and overall design.
  2. Drafting & Documentation:
    1. Proficient in design software programs, such as: AutoCad, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Sketchup, 3D StudioMax and Vray or Enscape. To create: Floor plans, Elevations, Sections and 3D renderings.
    2. Assist in preparing detailed construction drawings and documentation.
    3. Proficient in other software programs, such as: ZOOM, Google Docs and MS Office.
  3. Site Coordination:
    1. Support senior designer in quality checks and ensuring design compliance.
    2. Conduct site visits for measurements and progress checks.
  4. Material & Product Sourcing:
    1. Research and source materials, furniture, finishes, and fittings.
    2. Communicate with vendors for samples and availability.
    3. Maintain the materials library.
  5. Client Interaction (Under Supervision):
    1. Participate in client meetings and presentations.
    2. Take meeting notes and follow up on action items.
    3. Communicate basic updates or clarifications as directed by senior staff.
  6.  Administrative Support:
    1. Organize project files, specifications, and schedules.
    2. Help with maintaining timelines and project documentation.

Key Qualities Expected:

  • Preference for bilingual candidate, English as the main language.
  • Works well in a small team and is willing to learn and adapt.
  • Basic understanding of design principles and construction methods.
  • Creative, has a passion for interior design and possesses positive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Eager to take on new roles and grow with the company, proactive and has an outgoing personality.
