Pepys Hill:
Blueprints of Time

Interior Styling and Retrofit
2025

Within a compact 3000sqft condominium built in 1988, this home reinterprets Victorian elegance through a modern lens. Designed for a couple who treasure both heritage and function, one of the four bedrooms was converted into a study, forming part of a continuous axis linking the living, dining, and study areas. This visual alignment creates flow and balance while embracing the home’s asymmetrical structure.

Dark wood tones anchor the interiors, complemented by brass trims, black-framed glass doors with lattice details, and patterned black-and-white tiles that evoke a nostalgic charm. The royal blue, fingerprint-proof kitchen cabinets stand proudly against marble-textured countertops, delivering a sense of luxury and individuality. Structural beams were tactfully addressed through cove lighting that softens proportions and enhances spatial height.

Every corner reflects a dialogue between old and new — where antique heirloom furniture meets contemporary craftsmanship — culminating in a timeless, culturally rich home filled with character and light.
